All about the League
The Malaysia National Padel League is a new competition designed for all enthusiasts of this incredible sport.
The intention is to bring the most enjoyable competition to all those who wish to enjoy playing padel, being able to compete in the largest league in Malaysia, starting with Klang Valley.
Players just have to sign up and play - no more messaging around trying to organise matches on your own.
Match schedules will be published well ahead of time and you have full flexibility to plan it with your schedule.

The MNPL is running various Leagues per year, starting with:

Summer League: April to August, with Finals Tournament on September 6th/7th

Points will be distributed during the League and a National Ranking will be published on the website. This ranking will serve as a running ranking to move up or down Divisions in the successive leagues as well as to participate in regional leagues or tournaments.

The League will be split in 2 Categories, divided by Divisions according to level

Women Category

Women 2: 1.5-3.5

Women 1: Above 3.5

Open Category:

Div 5: 1.5 to 2.5
-
Div 4 : 2.5 to 3.0

Div 3: 3.0 to 3.5

Div 2: 3.5 to 4.5

Div 1: Above 4.5

Open: can be men's double, mixed, or women's double.

Every division will have X groups of Y teams

Goal is that every team will play (Y-1) matches throughout the league, meaning almost 1 match every 2 weeks.

Venues: confirmed venues can be found on this page. New venues to come will be added.

League Matches :

Matches will happen every week from Monday to Thursday from 8pm to 11pm (time may change according to venue)

The schedule will be announced before the start of the League and fixed until the end of the league. Please refer to the rules and FAQ for updates, cancellations and re-scheduling.

The yearly MNPL affiliation worth 100RM

The court fees for X matches, with new balls for every match.

Finals Tournament :

Summer Finals will take place on the September 6th/7th

Top teams from each group will qualify for the Finals:

✅Open 1: Top 4 → Direct to semi-finals
✅Women : Top 4 → Direct to semi-finals
✅Open 2: Top 8 from each group → Cross group bracket: A1 vs B8, A2 vs B7, etc...
✅Open 3: Top 8 from each group → Cross group bracket: A1 vs B8, A2 vs B7, etc...
✅Open 4: Top 8 from each group → Cross group bracket: A1 vs B8, A2 vs B7, etc...
✅Open 5: Top 8 → Quarter Finals #1 vs #8, #2 vs #7

There will be ranking matches / consolation, so that all the teams within the same division play the same amount of matches (between 2 and 4).

The format of the matches will remain the same as during the League: Best of 3 sets (Super Tie-Break in the 3rd).

Every finalist will have receive an equipment prize from their respective Division Sponsor, based on the Final Tournament Ranking.

Points and National Ranking :
The League will provide points towards the national ranking, based on the final ranking. This ranking will support the constitution of the next league, ie for example, the winners of Div 3 may move up to Div 2.
